Food Video References

There are some great videos out there to guide our concerns about American food production, sustainability and resilience. 

The Food Machine   

This is a great reference on food production in America.  It doesn’t directly focus on our concerns but they are quite visible.  While watching consider how often you see food production methods that are totally dependent on cheap oil.  Notice how many times you see unsustainable water management.  Notice how extreme the examples of risky large scale monoculture really are.

The Queen of the Sun

This one shows both the beauty of beekeeping and the challenges that our current technologies impose on bees.  Like the Food Machine the views of monoculture and how they impact pollinators is rather disconcerting.
